Our workshops
Note: All our workshops are currently on hold due to volunteer staff availability, so please keep an eye on our social media channels to find out when they’re back up and running.
We run workshops for people who have experienced sexual violence, designed to empower you both in terms of healthcare and your own sexuality.
Café V
Café V is a session that we run in partnership with Sh! Women’s Erotic Emporium designed to help us learn about loving our bodies after violence. They run ad hoc on a Saturday morning, with hot drinks and pastries, and are a cosy, safe space to talk about enjoying sex again – by yourself or with a partner – and any problems you’re experiencing.
Sometimes we work with artists and other creative people to help us open up about a wide variety of subjects, and you can choose to listen and contribute as much or as little as you wish.
MBB Tips & Tricks
We’ve created a series of workshops for those who have experienced sexual violence, to discuss how you feel about accessing healthcare and how to approach appointments and procedures you might find challenging.
Run by healthcare professionals, psychologists and counsellors, our experts will give you practical advice on how to feel in control when accessing invasive or potentially triggering healthcare procedures.
It’s a small, cosy group, with tea, coffee and pastries, and a MBB facilitator to take care of everyone.
We talk about subjects like:
- Cervical screening (smear tests)
- IUD/IUS fittings
- Vaginal examinations
- Sexual challenges following sexual violence and how to overcome them
- The implications of disclosing to a healthcare professional
- Colposcopy procedures
